As part of Acumen’s ongoing commitment to support charitable causes, they have sponsored the playing shirts of Stockton Sportability Football Club for the 2017-2018 football season.

Stockton Sportability is a unique football club, providing a playing environment for adults with differing levels of learning difficulties and abilities.

Established over nine years ago, they won their very first tournament, the North-East Ability Counts Invitation Cup thanks to the Rotary Clubs North East Disabled Games, in their debut season in the competition.

The organisation is largely dependent on sponsorships to help provide the club with new team kits, balls and all other equipment, and Acumen were more than happy to donate £250 for the shirts this season.

Mal Buxton, who is one of the coaches of the team said: “This club means a lot to them. It gives them the freedom to live a normal life and enjoy something that most people take for granted.”

As well as sponsoring Stockton Sportability, Acumen also supports many other organisations and charities, including Parkinson’s UK, of whom they recently donated money to after a Halloween fancy dress day.
