Utilising the latest in soil washing technology, EcoSOIL’s treatment plant, based in the Northwest of England is designed to remove contaminants from land impacted with a wide variety of materials including; poly-aromatic hydrocarbons, mineral oils, toxic metals, cyanides and all manner of inorganic and organic contaminants.
The process plant operates by grading particles based on their size and physical characteristics, with materials cleansing achieved using proprietary additives in solution and materials being washed under a unique high pressure enclosed loop induction system.
The final effluent from the process is subject to treatment before discharging to sewer and the fine silt particles are dewatered to produce a filter-cake for onward disposal. The intermediate washed particles then comprise of sand, grit and aggregates which are recycled wherever possible.
The EcoSOIL system also allows for contaminated land to be laundered, so that the contaminants are removed to an agreed standard and the soil returned to site to re-use and to backfill excavations.
